Welcome to Pagan Pinball!

I am currently working on Wicked: The Pinball. The current build is Build 55. [Screen Shot]

Here's a progress report on Wicked:
Currently, nothing is scripted except credits/start/end of game. The center ramp is also scripted with the Defy Gravity™ effect. I won't do more scripting it until I have the finalization of lights done and the playfield image finished.

I have the layout the way I want it. I just need to finalize any lights that I want to use on the table.

As far as the pop bumpers, I am going to converse with some of the folks who make really nice looking ones and see if I can reproduce that. I realize the default bumpers are UGLY.

I am not sure I am going to keep the well on the left. I want to use it, but I don't know if I should have it pop out at the top and roll down the ramp. It's basically a catch for when you complete TIK-TOK and you get a randomized bonus. But, I want it to look cool when it's lit.

The center kicker is where one will need to hit to lock the ball (once it's lit). I am still working on what you need to do exactly to enable that. I suspect it will have something to do with the two targets on either side of it. Once it's lit, expect the ball to Defy Gravity™ and enter the ball-lock ramp.

I was going to place the playfield text directly on the playfield image, but I don't think it would be readable if I do it that way, so I am working with decals for now. Regarding the rest of the playfield -- I am going to try to add some texture/color to the orbits and lanes so it looks somewhat realistic. In the past, my playfields aren't exactly what I would consider "works of art" and I'd like to rectify that with this table. (Note that I did not create the playfields for Gopher It! or PinZee. I'm talking about the ones *I* personally made. Yuk.) Someone was going to assist me with creating the playfield, but I have not heard from that person in months and it's really hard to get motivated to work on the table with ugly art on it... which is why I am trying to do it myself at this point.

Once all of the above is done.. then I'll script it up and it'll be good to go. I'm shooting for a Summer release. After that, I might go back and finish Metroid or Celestial Splendor (or turn Celestial Splendor INTO Metroid. lol.)

Also, I am going to put the site back the way it used to be because this forum thingy is just a huge resource hog. However, I am going to code it so everything is served through index.php and read from flat files. So, basically, I can easily add a new page. I have the code working, I just need to get the template setup.

The downloads do not require you to register.

It seems wasteful to me to have this cms up and it hogging disk space and not really getting any use.

So, I will likely go back to a simpler layout soon and chuck the whole database driven thing.
